Sylvia
Sylvia was born in February, 2000 in San Francisco. She is now a fourth grade student at Gomes Elementary in Fremont, CA.
Sylvia enjoys reading, swimming, making crafts, and playing Chinese yo-yo. She started learning piano at age 6. She attended Bay Area piano competition twice and won first prize and third prize respectively. She had learned abacus and lego robotics and enjoyed them. She learns swimming at Calphin Aquatic Club cofounded and head coached by a former Olympic champion. It has a brand new indoor facility grand opened in the summer of 2009. Recently, Sylvia enrolled in the Oliver's club math olympiad and science programs. She loves math and science.
Sylvia is also good at Chinese. She started learning Chinese at 5. Mom was her teacher. She went to the Haiao Chinese School with her brother when she was 8. She won several awards in the school's annual Chinese competition. She played a key roll in the school's Chinese drama show.
Sylvia is a smart girl. But she does not like to obey rules. She likes to behave in her own way. She reads a lot. She said she would like to be a teacher when she grows up.
